SUBJECT: D-61 FOR FURLOUGH DAYS

Due to several questions/concerns from employees having to report furlough days on

the D-61 form, we are providing the following information for clarification:

The purpose of having employees report furlough days to Payroll is for documentation

purposes and also pay calculation in case of early separation. If furlough days are on

set calendar days, i.e. classroom teachers, then there is no need for staff to report it on

a D-61 form. However, if furlough days vary based on the individual work calendar, then

there is a need for tracking and employees should complete a D-61.

Who should turn in a D-61 on their furlough days?

• Superintendent and Cabinet

• Management (principals, assistant principals, directors, coordinators,

supervisors, confidential, etc)

• Counselors

• Psychologists

• Curriculum Program Specialist

• Athletic Directors

• Activity Directors

• Nurses

• Speech Therapists

• Ace President

• Classified (CSEA) employees
